Chocolate Chip Cookies

So there are a few things that I always have to have in my house at all times.
Joe-Joe Treats and chocolate chip cookies. We have a lot of friends and family who are always stopping by, so I have to make sure that there is enough cookies to go around.

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

What you'll need is:
2 1/4 cups all purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 cup butter, room temp
3/4 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 large eggs
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup old-fashion oats



Beat butter, sugars and vanilla until creamy. Next add the eggs one at a time.


Next add the flour, baking soda and salt. I like to sift it all together. I like to sift. I'm a shifter.


Next is the chocolate chips.


And then the oats.


Drop about a Tablespoon onto an ungreased baking sheet.


Now bake the cookies for about 9-11 minutes or until golden brown. I have a super sonic oven so I have to cook everything a minute or two less then what the recipe says. I cook my cookies for about 8 minutes. Now you're going to cool them for about 2 or 3 minutes on the baking sheets before you move them to the wire racks to cool completely.


Now you can do one or two things with these lovelies. I like to eat them while they're still warm with a nice tall glass of milk or you can decide to go the "Oh my, I just died." route and add a scoop of ice cream between two cookies and make and ice cream sandwich. And if you're really feeling adventurous roll the ice cream sandwiches in sprinkles, nuts, M&M's or whatever you have handy.
